Status quo

Nothing new... Kelly wanted her mom to get a glimpse of the area (since all of her travel to get here was in the dark),so armed with cell phones and ready to get back to Kelly on a hairpin trigger, Kelly's mom and I took a couple of hours and went to Sonoma for lunch and a very brief change of scenery. The weather was perfect. At lunch we were seated next to an actress we both recognized. After we got back "home," we figured out that it was Maura Tierney from the TV show ER.

Because Robert will either 1) be born in Wine Country or 2) come really darn close to it, we tried to locate a onesee (translation: one piece clothing thing for babies)that Kelly and I previously saw that said "whine conneseur" but had no luck... One of the many challenges of being stuck away from home trying not to have a baby.

Tomorrow's highlight will be a visit to the OB.

Kelly and Glenn,
You won't know who I am but I'm a sister in the Lord @ Founders. Kelly, I hope you keep your beautiful glow a little longer. The Lord makes no mistakes and perfects those things that concern us, especially the tiny ones.
Can't wait to see all of when you get back.

Hi Kelly!
We met at the park in our neighborhood. I am praying for you,Baby Robert and Glen. I can imagine the rollercoaster of emotions you have experienced, but just continue to hold on to HIM!! I know that you must feel VERY anxious right now, but please find peace and rest. This time is SO short compared to a life time with little Robert. Take this time for study in God's Word. I did this when I, too was on bedrest with my two girls. The Lord is strengthening you and preparing you, just as much as He is growing Baby Robert. Motherhood is truly a blessing, and it will be here so soon! Take time to talk to Glen and other family about silly stuff, so you can laugh during this trying time also!
Keep us updated over here at Founders, and we will continue in prayer.
Blessings, Stephanie Golden

Your whine onesie...
You don't know us, we worked at a camp a long time ago with Jeremy. We've been lifting you in our prayers since we read about your situation on Diane's blog. Our prayers continue for you all. -Sarah & David Ross

Kelly - Wow, my family has just gotten over sickness and I found out that your trip to California ended up being more than you planned. What a praise to the Lord that He protected you and baby Robert by having you near a hospital.

I can remember "the wait" as I looked forward to each of my boys. It can seem so long when you're in it, but pretty soon he will be here and in your arms and you'll say, "I wonder if I can put him back inside so I can take a shower without worrying about him" :) I was never on bedrest, but I can attest to feeling anxious about each of mine as I wondered if all was well as those last few weeks ticked by. What I learned and am still learning is that I will always find something to be anxious about towards them - are they moving well in my stomach, will they have a difficult birth, will they sleep through the night soon so that I can get rest, will I make enough milk to feed him, will he crawl on time, is that illness going to make him hurt too much, do I homeschool, put them in private school or public school, and the list goes on. The most freeing thing I've experienced is that God has a perfect plan for each of our children. I don't have to worry about all those things because He, as our almighty, sovereign Lord, loves my children more than I ever could and He watches over them every second of the day even when I can not.

As hard as it is, enjoy this time with Glenn and your family. Pretty soon your life will be so busy that those times will Glenn will be far and few. Laugh, eat, listen to music, write letters to your baby and Glenn, read your Bible and read fun books....pretty soon your time will so full that you'll say "you mean there are adult books and music out there?" :)

My prayers are with you. My sister Jana and sister-in-law Katie say hi and are praying for you. I still can't believe that after all these years after band, we now know each other as mommie-to-be and mommy. God really does have a humor.

In His love, Julie Cook
